Thanks Adam, but what i need is less reflection, not less glossiness…
Can’t do that.
Otherwise additive with black material, by tweaking the transparency.
I could add a per-object specular slider for non-metallic material.
@stephomi
@Genko3D Meanwhile you could try another HDR, more blurred, which could give the impression of less reflection.
Edit. You could try that quick self painted one. Not perfect at poles though.
You should be able to draw your own inside Nomad on a sphere with inverse culling. You need to unwrap it somewhere else though.
Double edit. Try that one
Now you can paint in the lights you want, even with sharp windows.
@stephomi, thanks, a specular slider would be very nice!
@knacki, thanks, i’ll defenitely try those!
That is weird looking. Nice job.
Ohhhhh, so cute
Hehehe nice!
Love the design idea!
Amazing model, I like the mix of realism and stylized way
Love the look and feel
Do you polypaint these or UV with procreate?
Thanks Josepmy!
Just watching, vertexpaint all the way!
The result is very nice
It’s great! You’re probably the one using textures most successful in Nomad.
Thanks a lot, guys!
Yes, I believe that the second most important thing in CGI after the forms/geometry are the textures, even more important that lighting and rendering.
I present you SkyStone!
Knowns as the “Levitating rock” SkyStone has been seen in different location, mostly high-altitude sanctuaries and monasteries.
The number of its inhabitants is permanent - exactly 272 persons.
One can only leave when another one comes in.
Scientists have dicovered that SkyStone gets its levitational abilities from the
electromagnetic force field generated from the huge red stone.
Though no logical explanation how those people survive more than few seconds.
One of the few honored to get on the mistical village disclosed that Pyro
(the red gem in the heart of the SkyStone) has telekinetic abilities and spares the lives of those who believe in it.
And even more astonishing is that Pyro a.k.a. Roth, the biggest red diamond in our universe, is living only from the belief of 272 human beings.
Accused to be slaves and blind worshippers of evil, some of the ex-residents of SkyStone confirm that they’ve have been on places never seen before and have even experienced time travels!
Although remaining anonymous they swear that “The Gem” as the call it has the power to bend time and space and transports SkyStone at speeds much higher than light - the speed of thought!
Cool description, love when one model has a story to explain!
