Move tool - Avoid intersect with internal geometry?

Hello, is there any setting that protects from intersecting with internal geometry when using the move tool to move part of a mesh inward on itself?
For example if I create a thin walled pottery with lathe:

and then try to move the geometry inward it tends to not move the existing internal geometry:

Check Brush tool settings - filter - front facing vertex only. OFF

Or use « Connected topology », depending on the use case.
