Even if ONLY these three deformers were added…it would make this software WORLD CLASS!
I agree that a Deform Tool ( taper, twist, bend etc) would be very useful.
I feel the lack of this feature especially when creating basic blocks for a complex shape.
I might have mentioned that before, but would it make sense to implement deformers as part of the layer stack? So you would have “sculpt layers” and “deformation layers”. Deformation layers would lock sculpting and show the deformer toolbar/widgets instead.
I think this would be the most flexible solution, you could delete or even alter the order of deformations that way.
Seeing deformers added would make me very happy too.
This will probably come once zbrush comes out since it’s the hardest implement. Thing is work flow in this app has to follow a woodworking methodology for the first portion of the process, pick the shape, chisel down to the block form you want… then mental workflow goes Clay. At least until dedicated deformer tools are added.
