Inquiry about Android License — Device Binding, Huawei Version & Purchase Advice

Hello Nomad Sculpt Team,

I’m planning to purchase a license for Nomad Sculpt on Android and have a few questions before I buy.

1. License Portability — Device or Account? I may upgrade to a different tablet in the future. Does the license follow my account (e.g., Google Play account), or is it tied to a specific device? If it’s account-based, that would be ideal for my situation.

2. Huawei vs. Android Version I’m currently using a Huawei tablet running HarmonyOS 4.2.0. However, my next tablet will likely be a non-Huawei Android device (e.g., Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.). Given that, which version should I purchase now:

  • The Huawei version from AppGallery, or
  • The standard Android version (from Google Play)?

My goal is to make a purchase that remains usable after I switch to a different brand of Android tablet. I’d appreciate your advice on the best route to take.

  1. Google Play Account or Huawei Account.
  2. Technically you can install huawei services (HMS) and use your huawei account on every Android devices. But I don’t recommend it. It is probably best to wait for your next device purchase and simply take the Goole Play purchase.

Huawei future is uncertain as they are moving from Android to their own thing.
