I recently bought a Huion Kamvas Pro 24. It seemed on paper that it might be as good as the Wacom Cinque Pro 22 with a bit more screen.
I just received the unit today and was doing some testing using different sculpting programs and 3D software. I’ve been using Nomad sculpt on my tablet for a while now and love it. So I bought the PC version a while back as it has more memory then my little tablet.
The results were a bit weird using the Huion. At first I didn’t think it was going to work since when I got the pen near the monitor the cursor would offset from the pen tip by about half the screen width. Not a good sign. I tried both pens that come with the monitor with the same result. I was going to give up on it and send a note to see if it was an issue.
I touched the screen with my finger to move the object and I found out I could sculpt using touch screen. But the pens don’t work. Any ideas? Not sure why there is an offset as the monitor works fine in Mudbox, and Maya. I still have to try ZB.
Hi, there a function to calibrate the pen to the screen, you have to press multiple points on the screen for the pen to have the best results.
I also have a Huion Kamvas 24 but not the newest model since you have 2 pens you must be having the new model.
I had a problem with the pen cursor shooting of the screen when I touched the pen, sometimes I changed the tip, but I had a spare pen and been using that ever since.
Did that. did not matter. Still had an offset. Also when trying to rotate an asset. the asset would always return to the same rotation value as when I started the rotation once I let go of the button on the pen. Frustration is setting in and I’m trying to use this app. I can up Mudbox, Maya, ZBrush and a few other program. I know it’s not the app itself as I can use the touch screen function with no issues. The issues come up once I add the pen to the equation.
A Wacom Button. I finally found it under the WIntab settings. I’ll try that once I get my computer up and running in the AM. Thank guys for all your help
I’m having the same problem; my pen is in one place and moves in another. I’ve already tried calibrating it, but nothing. It’s working normally on the rest of the PC.
As Stephoni has stated. The menu item is the Wintab button in the about Nomad menu at the top left of the menu bar.
You should also calibrate the screen in the Huion Software. as stated by Franky Monero earlier. If you haven’t completed that yet.
The Huion Kanva Pro 24 is a bit harder to setup compared to a Wacom from my experience so far. But I’m going to try it out and see how it goes. I’ll post more of my findings as I go as well as some of the sculpts I’m doing.
