Extract and KEEP the mask on the extracted Mesh / Shell

Extract and keep the mask on the extracted mesh.

It is almost impossible to mask the exact inside of an extracted shell, so it would be handy if the mask would be taken over when extracting.

It would also be good to be able to keep the mask somehow and turn it on/off.

The other is a very handy addition of low poly workflow, isn‘t it?

Reselect would also be not bad, but could be difficult to realize…?
Transferring is more like it.
So when extracting the mask remains on the original object.
But the extracted object is without mask.
However, it would sometimes be very useful if you could transfer the mask to the extracted mesh.
So it would be possible to change the mask on the extracted object.
It is sometimes very difficult to create the same mask again.

To turn the mask ON / OFF:
Sometimes it would be useful to move the masked vertices still with the mesh (like if the mask was only black color) - so to switch the mask active or inactive.
But you would not have to delete the mask.
Inverting the mask, unfortunately, does not help, because a border is created.
