When a model consists of two disconnected parts, or in other words, when the Trim brush selection does not cross over the model, a boolean error will pop up. This issue occurs with both the Trim and Split brushes.
Hi. I’ve seen this before. Maybe because it sees your object as one piece and not two separate after you trimmed? Last time I encountered this I split the pieces into separate parts and then the trim worked great. Hope this helps.
I found this was my mistake. The current UI color made me fail to notice that symmetry was turned on; turning symmetry off fixed it. The issue actually came from a model sent to me by someone else. I got the same prompt when trimming it, and I confirmed symmetry was not enabled, so I mistakenly thought it was a bug. It’s my error, and the problem lies with that model.
