Bug reports: Import button causes the screen to go blank and no file explorer ever appears.

Using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (not the lite version) Android 12

Everything worked fine on version 2.2 of the app, but 2.3 broke the ability to open a file explorer window to select a file for import. Both the import button and the button to select a custom location for the main folder are using the same broken call to the android file explorer. I can’t even force file access permissions onto the app because it does not appear in the list of apps. Make the app request file permissions, or at least give us the option to push the permissions onto the app.

Works fine for me, can’t replicate.

I finally found a file explorer app that let me get into the data folder. Once I got in and deleted the settings.json, and reopened the app, now everything works. Maybe give us a button that overwrites this file.

settings.json have 0 impact on the import popup.

My guess is you weren’t on the latest 2.3 version.

I definitely was on 2.3, It may not be connected at all code-wise, but for whatever reason, deleting that settings file worked when even reinstalling the app did not. And yes I tried the restart, reinstall, clear cache/data, and installing from a backup apk.

I have the paid version of your program through Google Play. This bug report was written in a heated fit over why it wasn’t working. Now I wish I had saved the json file to submit it to you.

There multiple 2.3 and I don’t bother updating the version or adding a patch number.

These small updates usually happens the same day or the day after.
