A Group / Folder - all Objects put inside this group are locked or fixed - but visible (something like the Light / View Group)

You might need to be able to create a group / folder that you can rename, for example
to: LOCKED

Objects within this LOCKED group node are not selectable or fixed.
It would also be practical to have a folder for objects that should NOT rotate in the turntable.
