Some form of keyboard shortcut (hold down + input) so the tube node will only then only extend in a straight line once you begin dragging them and not wobble when trying to position further. When working along a chain of nodes can be time consuming to make sure the entire tube remains straight and topology remains neat without sections bowing in different directions and re-visiting nodes to align/accidentally misalign it further.
