Yes, this can be really usefull! I saw extracting from mask already has borders options, I don’t know if that can be applied with out extracting at all.

Isn’t it already there (facegroup menu)?

Hello Stephomi,

I believe what Holger means (please correct me if I am wrong) is the abbility to make panel loops all at once. As you can see in B, I can create panel loops perfectly when facegroups are not touching each other; or when they do they are concidered as one. But when I like to have the entire sphere (A) create the parts with bevels from all facegroups I get a result like in C .. I’ve hidden two parts so you can see the underlying structure; there are no separate panels. And it would indeed be great if we have that possibility too.

In case it is already there, which steps do we need to take? I can’t find it in de facegroup / mask extract menu.

It works exactly like B, but you didn’t show your extract settings.
Did you choose “shell”?

Hello Stephomi,

I did use shell in both cases (see screenshots). But I did notice an extra setting in your screenshot : GAP (under height) which I don’t have yet. Maybe that’s the reason? I checked the demo version on my iPad (webbrowser) to try it out but it’s not yet available there either.

PS : I love working in Nomad Sculpt; thank you for all you do!

PS : testing on my 11" iPad Pro, with M4 and 1Tb

I apologise, my mistake .. I just noticed I was looking under the mask settings earlier on, while you clearly mentioned to look into the Facegroup settings; which is also shown in your screenshot. Wow! We do have panel loops :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: .. time to play.

Thank you!

@Elfriede it’s posible to make a polyloops without extracting?? I thought that was what @Holger_Schoenischka was tryied to show in the video.

There is a small bug for this panel loop thing (some edge issues) - but it’s fixed for next update said Stephomi.

I guess no - it only works with extract.

But I guess Zbrush feature is also a extract thing.

Actually in Zbrush the panel, edge and group loops functions are aplied over the same geometry without extracting by default, I think this can be a really powerfull implementation.

I don’t think so. It works like shown in de video Holger posted. As for Zbrush, it has been many years ago I haven’t worked with it and I can’t remember if what you look for was possible their.
