When extracting the mask, it would be convenient if a new face group were automatically created.
When extracting with thickness, it would be important to get a face group for the edge / border.
Yes it’s planned, not sure if both top/bottom should be on the same group though.

I would prefer different face groups for Top / Bottom, then they are much easier to mask separately for further actions, like scaling with gizmo…
