Hi, is there a way to lock the screen/view in either vertical or horizontal view so it won’t rotate when I angle/rotate my ipad?

Not in Nomad, but you can do it with the iPad.
On my iPad it’s simply a lock icon in the quick control center Access Control Center on your iPad - Apple Support
