Sometimes I model interesting shapes and then just start kit bashing them until something happens. This is one of those sometimes. All done in Nomad Sculpt.

Ha, thank you! I believe those were just torus primitives I stacked on top of each other, warped a bit with the drag tool and drew some creases in for secondary details.
