So I got my Blender VDMs imported into Nomad but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to get them to work properly. I’ve tried editing them and recentering them but honestly… I just don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve added some images to show what’s going on. It’s probably something stupid simple that I just don’t understand.
I believe they are correct. Maybe that doesn’t work? If it doesn’t is there something else I can do to export them so that they do work from a .blend? I have a ton of VDMs so it took some scripting to get it exported.
The images in the zip are 8-bit and they are actually PNGs, not EXRs.
Did you use the latest blender and the “official VDM baker” plugin?
This is how you create and extract the exr VDM from blender (see screenshot).
But you can do this in Nomad as well (create VDM plane then → bake to VDM).
No I didn’t. Like I said, I don’t really know what I’m doing with it. I’m still stumbling with it all. I’ll give this a try. The issue is that I have a ton of VDMs I purchased so I was trying to figure out a clean way of exporting all of them.
Thank you I really appreciate it!
I’ll come back if I have more issues or to share my mistake and what I did based on your instruction.
I think the issue may have been the script I used.
Here’s an image of them in the folder. Let me know if you need something else. You’re basically talking to a 30yo toddler when it comes to language with expectation with all of this lol
Could you send me a single one of these (a .blend one).
If these are paid assets, in private ideally.
But other than that I cannot help since I lack information (for example you just said you used a script… that would explain why you got “exr” file that are actually 8-bit PNG).
Right now I don’t have the script and have no idea what you did inside Blender to get the image you tried to import in Nomad.
If I got a .blend I can easily check the easiest way to convert these for Nomad.
