My cintiq is not touch accessible for zooming. The zoom works with the mouse, but how without it? I can’t keep putting my pen down overtime I want to zoom. Do we need keyboard commands for tools so we can program them to the cintiq buttons? I looked in the manual and didn’t see any. I have a slider pad i use to zoom in and out in photoshop, but I need keyboard keys to assign it. If there were key commands i could program the other 8 or 9 buttons too.
You can’t pinch with your fingers? It should work, make sure to have up to date Wacom driver and check in about menu that it’s on.
Otherwise in the bindings menu you can bind many things.
Is it possible to add trackpad (Magic Trackpad) bindings options for Mac version so that pinch zoom and 3 finger swipe will work with it?
No my cintiq doesn’t have hand recognition. i don’t know how to bind something that has no keyboard key or command. I’ll look into it.
For camera movement, usually you want to rely on MMB and RMB on the pencil.
- MMB → pan
- RMB → rotate
- the key of your preference for zooming (with RMB)
Just go in the binding menu in Nomad and tries to bind it.
If it doesn’t work go in bindings → advanced and enable joystick and try again (in case the devices returns gamepad events).
ahhhthere you go! Bindings has everything I need! There I learned zoom uses the up and down arrows on my extended keyboard. I mapped those in wacom and voila! I was also able to map the sliding button on the back of the cintiq with them too. Thanks Stephomi malomi!
