Hi! I have received a lot of requests to post this pack. Yes, I wanted to wait until we get the tool sorting function in NOMAD SCULPT, but apparently the process will drag on indefinitely, and I know how impatient you are to try the tools in work.
Therefore, I decided to release version 1 to also test it among my subscribers.
I plan to expand and improve this material library, if of course you like it and support my idea.
Yes, this pack will be exclusive to those who have a subscription(on GUMROAD OR BOOSTY).
Well I watched the video…maybe it’s just me but I can’t really see where the smartness is.
Smart materials utilize ID, cavity mask and AO mask to calculate where textures should be assigned, blended etc. Otherwise it’s just applying textures/materials.
If you wanna sell stuff you should explain your product and the value the user gets from it. The hip hop music alone won’t cut it .
Glad that you check the video: I call this smart materials because the main idea is to take one material for example Old paint and start painting, like in Substance. But of course it is not a same like in Substance, because we have only Vertex painting in Nomad.
But you can control, intensity, color, roughness, metalness Chanel’s. All stored in one brush. If you want to control this maps in other software’s you need to bake all maps.

Would be great indeed if Nomad would allow a sort of “clever mask” handling while painting that’s not only a pre-selection or the depth awareness checkbox that it has (the technical name escapes me).
For example, when painting with that oil looking preset, to make it affect either only on cavities or upwards facing normals AND cavities combo.
New feature request maybe?
Anyways, great looking preset brushes. I also had gotten your sculpting mockup concept brushes by the way… makes me wonder if there’s ever going to be a ZSphere style brush tool.
