Hello everyone. I want to buy Nomad Sculpt from the Apple Store. I don’t mind giving my name and other info to the Nomad Devs but I want to use an alias for my Apple username. Does anyone know if it will be a problem if my Apple id and the name on my PayPal account don’t match? Or if the email addresses are different? I have no idea what info is passed back and forth between Apple and PayPal and whatever developer you’re buying from.
I don’t know how much clearer it can be than the App page for Nomad stating what gets passed to the developer…
As to payment, that’s only between your AppleID account and whatever payment you’ve elected to tie it to. Whether you’re buying an App, buying a book, buying an AppleTV movie, or upgrading iCloud tiers, it’s the same payment mechanism Apple draws from. I wasn’t aware PayPal was an acceptable AppleID payment method (pre-established PayPal Visa, perhaps) but then it’s been a decade or more since I’ve bothered to look into it.
If there’s still an ongoing concern about name-matching discrepancies, isn’t it still possible to purchase an “Apple Gift Card” from a brick’n’mortar and fund the AppleID account for purchases?
