I have made 100% of my living as an artist for the last 20 years. The bulk of my earnings come from custom tattoo work but I also do well selling my paintings and prints. I paint mainly in oils and watercolors, switching back and forth between the two as my mood dictates. As a result of my “day job” I tend to change styles and subjects frequently, making a career of being able to tailor a subject/style to suit each individual client’s aesthetic.
I do most of my tattoo designs using Procreate and was excited when they added the 3d painting feature. It didn’t take long for me to want to create my own models to upload for painting. That led me to find Nomad Sculpt, among a few other apps. I tried the free versions of them all and found that Nomad felt the most right to me. I know that there are some amazing 3d apps and programs out there but they require Wacom tablets, computers, or more of an investment than I’m able to afford right now.
I am currently using Nomad Sculpt to create the artwork for my tattoo clients, digital prints, and commissioned artwork. I absolutely love creating with Nomad Sculpt!
