Why isn't the Nomad app on mobile devices being updated?

It seems you don’t really care about the experience of mobile users. Please update it quickly. Thank you.Additionally, users in Chinese Mainland may encounter errors when using WeChat Pay on the desktop version, preventing successful purchases. Please be advised of this issue.

The update will be ready soon according to him, but mobile devices have a different system and requirements than desktop which is easier to release updates for. They take a bit longer.

It looks like good news.

He’s only one man, and he’s currently juggling the Android version, the iOS version, the Windows version, the MacOS version, and possibly other versions I’m unaware of. That takes time. The PC/MacOS versions are where beta features seem to be hitting first, but that also means potential instabilities. Do you want those instabilities on your mobile device, or do you want to wait until they’re mature? I mean, Nomad is feature complete as-is, so all of this is just icing on top of an already tasty cake, and we get it FOR FREE…

Definitely agree, didn’t know it was solo. Even more impressive. Think it’s just the relative silence between updates specifically regarding aosp, the progress made adjacently should translate across the apps ideally.

You should check out the discord server. Stephane/Hexanomad (the developer) is a bit more vocal over there, since it’s a pretty constant stream of realtime dialogue. The short version of it seems to be what I said earlier - New features hit the PC/Mac, and the WebDemo versions first, then fold into mobile once any and all bugs/showstoppers are identified, and squashed.
