Masked faces are affected by the trim tool. I created a face group on half of the face of my sculpt, then used that face group to mask it and then proceeded to use the trim tool to cut through the head on the side, assuming I wouldn’t be affecting the masked area. But it does in fact delete everything that is masked. Same goes for hiding face groups.

Maybe you use boolean as trim mode ? Boolean doesn’t respect the mask.

No bug.
