Stencil Shader or Clipping Mask

Hi Stéphane!I really respect your app, it’s absolutely amazing, but I’ve run into a tiny problem.

I’m currently creating a cartoonish fan model of my favorite character. Their eyes are designed as flat slices floating slightly in front of the head because I want to avoid messy texture painting on the main mesh. However, I’ve stumbled upon a huge dilemma:

The eyelids.

If I just slap two flat squares over the sclera to create a clever, sneaky smirk, it looks incredibly ugly and blocky. I really want smooth animations, so what I actually need is a feature that binds these squares to the eye mesh and cuts off everything that goes outside its boundaries.

As it turns out, this technology is called a Stencil Shader or a Clipping Mask. The main problem is that Nomad Sculpt doesn’t have anything like this yet.Of course, I can settle for static, snappy animations for now, but please, consider adding this feature in future updates.

With love,

Uxiconus.

P.S.: Please don’t ban me for typing too fast like last time. My English is not very good, so I’m just pasting texts directly from a translator.

WHOA! Wait, we can ANIMATE in Nomad? Do you mean shapekeys? Also, are you maybe saying you figured out a way to export texture transitions/ transformations via Nomad layers? Super sorry if I misunderstood! I am a BIG DUMMY!~:sparkling_heart:
