Hey!

Long time modeller but new to the app. Is there any way to import the smoothing groups from my exported meshes coming from 3ds max?

I’ve tried a few different obj export presets (mudbox, zbrush) including ticking the smoothing groups boxes but when bringing it into nomad I’ve got no smoothing data.

Thanks!

Custom normals are not supported.
You can turn smooth shading in Nomad in the material menu.

Hi bud,

Id like to see this feature too, just worked on a .stl file in autocad and imported it and am facing the same issue. Would be great to see a way of blending faces together by painting them on or having blending groups directly import. I tried turning on smooth shading but you lose all the sharp edges ☹
