Ahh, you are right! Hammering around the check till it’s off…and it’s on again due to too fast hammering. 
Guestimation:
There is a tooltip question mark now hidden by the check icon.

What didn’t help also is that my Apple Pencil also died at the same time lol, like a muppet I was tapping on the screen with no response thinking I just wasn’t getting the right area of the screen 
Guys, no need to aim at the checkbox - just tap the text. 
This goes for all features with checkboxes.
