# Project does not respect masking

Hi,

The project tool does not seem to respect masking in the same way that trim does. Is there a reason for this?

It should be more or less the same, can you paste a screenshot? or a quick video?

Note that the Trim tool is currently buggy, it’s best to disable “project holes” in the Trim settings first.

Yes, sorry. It only seems to be the line tool within project that is not working for me. See screenshot attached.
