Hello guys, I am a 2d/3d artist.  
I mostly work with Blender, Sketchup and Zbrush.

I began Nomad for Ipad 2 weeks ago and I have to say that I really enjoy working with it.

I will post my creations with Nomad here.  
I sculpt with Nomad and render with Blender.

That’s lovely looking.

For a raptor, the eyes are a bit too much on sides, which gives him a deer touch. Deers and other herbivores need this 360 degree awareness to see a raptor as soon as possible. Raptors need to focus.

If you check fennec fox references regarding eye position, you’ll find this to be true.

Anyway, I really love the overall look.

It’s with most mammal raptors like foxes, cats, wolfs. I don’t know about reptiles and insects. To grab all information and references possible is sometimes more enjoyable than sculpting to me, to be honest. But ends up in less finished sculpts.  
So often, my sculpts are more this just let it go style like yours, just to get not trapped in collecting pictures and details for hours before even started 😆 🖖

I always have a doc sheet for each of my 3d or even 2d project ;-).  
And I agree with you, it may be a trap to work more on the preparation of a project that on its realisation.

For the fennec, you explained why the eyes of the animals are placed in front or beside and this information may be used for more imaginative works.

Today I will post an ice monkey called “monkey melba”. Sculpted with Nomad, rendered with Cycles (Blender).

I’m taking advantage of the artistic event “the Nuit Blanche” in my city Paris,France to post the first part of my cathedral’s finale. My personal version of Notre Dame de Paris.

This first part focuses on the entry/exit of the site. Archangel Gabriel, reclining, is oriented differently depending on whether visitors are arriving or departing.

The blue statues represent Creation, real or phantasmagorical and were made with Nomad (Ipad).

The three large statues represent an infernal trinity whose role is to scare believers/tourists so that they do not see the cathedral or enter it.

Is the landscape supposed to be fully white? (there was an issue with shadows on Nomad that was displaying artefacts similarly to the white & black stripes)
