# Nomad file crashing on ipad(m4) bug?

I use a relatively good iPad (13 inch 2025 m4 solid ram) and I can’t open a file 2.5 giga file size anymore. This iPad should open this file size okay. But Every time I try it crashes, I checked FAQs , tried sending it to other iPads but still won’t open. Only crashes.

However last time I opened i had to multiply the size a few times because i had to work with specific measurements. But similar files are nowhere near this size so I’m not sure what it could be.

Could it be a possible bug? Or unfortunately is Ram ?

If you have a Mac, or a PC, you should see if you can copy it over there and try to import the file via the PC/Mac trial version. If it opens there, it’s likely something the iPad isn’t liking, be it file size or something else.

A 2.5GB file? It would require at least 8GB of RAM to run this file. It’s better to use an iPad with better RAM, or open it on a PC for decimation.
