# Facegroup&reference

I also noticed the reference doesnt view through facegroups anymore no matter what opacity i set 😖 it used to work before am i supposed to do it a different way? I tried via mask but its a bit hard to adjust with the extra steps…

Facegroup is now completely different, it works the same as the inspect mode, completely overriding the base material rather than hacking the colors (and rough/metal when in pbr mode).

It also means the bug will happen with other inspect mode.  
I’ll fix it for 1.93.

By the way, should I fix it for wireframe as well?

It’s also a bug, but each time I fix a bug, there are ppl crying, so just in case…

(Thinking about keeping the current wireframe behaviour actually)

Oh i dont use wireframe view as much since my models are rather highpoly so i might not be the best person to ask haha 💦 personally i dont mind how it is atm!
