# Disable symmetry by default please

Hi.  
Please make it possible to disable symmetry,  
and enable it only when necessary,  
I import a lot of objects that are not symmetrical.

Maybe being able to set standard settings would be great in general, like symmetry, chosen matcap, chosen display and rendering settings, write that data to a scene prefs file and being able to name it.

You can literally do this. Set your scene up how you like and then save it as a template.  
Open the template file before you start every new sculpt 👍

Great idea! Rendering resolution still doesn’t get saved, though (which a scene prefs file would be a great place for).

I have the opposite problem and its always off by default and wont stay on. 🙃
