# Camera translation on shift keybind gets overriden by select if smooth brush is also on shift keybind

Hello
Version 1.94 premium
When i select keybind ‘shift’ for camera translation but also have smooth set to ‘shift’, every time i try to translate while not over an object, it switches to the select brush even though the select brush shortcut is disabled.
device is samsung tab s9 plus SM-X816B
One ui 6.1.1
android version 14
I want to be able to translate but also smooth when i’m on the object.
here’s a video, i hope it’s visible when i am holding shift 😃

It’s not a bug.
Mask and smooth have secondary trigger when used on background.

is there a way to make the smooth shortcut not switch to select on viewport?

Not for now.
You can only disable for Hide/Mask (gesture menu).
But:
- it’s missing smooth
- it’s not obvious that it impacts bindings as well
I think I should add a special toggle in the mask/hide/smooth bindings instead.

Go in bindings menu and in the smooth shortcut open the sub menu “…” there’s an option to disable the Select tool.
As for long press → select, it’s in the gesture menu.
