# Any News on a Mac Version?

I have an iPad Pro, which I use as my primary computer, and then I also have a Mac Mini which I can use in my office. I’ve tried doing some 3D sculpting in Blender, but Blender is incredibly inefficient comparatively. Many tools I use often are not surface-level in Blender, and harder to use than Nomad Sculpt. Nomad Sculpt is so much faster and more efficient than Blender for my purposes. The only downside is that I can’t use Nomad Sculpt on my Mac Mini. I have an Apple Silicon Mac, so I tried installing the iPad version of the app, but this doesn’t even work, the iPad version is unavailable. It would be great to have Nomad Sculpt on the Mac. Valence 3D, one of the other 3D softwares that I use heavily, makes the iPad version available on the Mac, so having both Valence and Nomad Sculpt in combo for the occasions I’m working at my Mac Mini and want to touch something up would be great! I know you had said earlier this year that a desktop version for Windows and the Mac is incoming, I was just wondering if you have any ideas about when that may be released? Is that looking like something that will be released this year, or next year?

I was wondering, now that we’re in February of 2025, how far out do you think the desktop version is from release? And will it be noted in the release notes for the accompanying update on the iPad version?

I still have my hand full with bug on the current mobile version at the moment.
But I already tested and build Nomad on windows and it works fine.
But I need to figure distribution and handle multi-touch/pencil support.
I’ll probably do a beta at first (it will likely happens on discord)

I hope it will be on the shelves by the end of this month. As for multi-touch, I don’t think it is very urgent. Let’s play with the mouse and keyboard first and wait for the update slowly. The mobile terminal can postpone the plan a little. It should have little impact. 😀
