So you snap a surface curve on the object - and then be able to e.g. extract a shape or split along curve or many more things…
Or also a surface curve mode e.g. for the tube or the curve repeater ….
I can think of many useful things ….
But surface curve needs more nodes and a close curve option.
So not only a measure tool thing ….
so you can also surface snap a straight tube on the surface…
